Project background: Job board

Project Background:

A technical recruiting company (TechJobs) is trying to expand its business. It wants to implement a niche job board for IT contractors. TechJobs is already in the hiring business and is a consulting company providing services to many clients in finding new candidates. TechJobs gets the job descriptions from its clients and finds candidates by advertising on indeed and LinkedIn. TechJobs make money when its candidate is hired by the company. In this project, TechJobs wants to build a job board and use it for its job posts while it continues to advertise on 3rd party apps like Indeed or LinkedIn. Eventually TechJobs expects to grow the audience of this niche job site as it already has a database of candidates.

The company decides to build the job board software by itself as it is not a complex project(or so they thought), and they have access to software developers who are looking for work through the company. So, the company wanted to build the job board as the developers estimated that it would take only a month or 2 to do so. The company did a cost-benefit analysis and found out it is better to build.

You are the BA on this project. You have been given an introduction of this project by your management. They asked you to schedule some meetings with the account managers at TechJobs and with the developers assigned to this project. You can setup a project kickoff meeting. But before you do that, do you know who are the account managers or subject matter experts and their names? Who are the developers assigned to this project? Whom will you invite to the kickoff?

So, Step-1.
