Do you remember that the project goal is to build something in 2 months, but while diving deep, the PM and the management understood that it is more realistic to have a working product in month-3.

We are building the software in a waterfall model and are not into agile yet. If you don't know what they mean, dont worry- we will cover them later.

The BA sends this out to the stakeholders for a review. The stakeholders reserve time and plan according to this plan. For example, the QA lead plans for some resources to be available in month-2 and 3.
